Core Functional Advantages

1. F1.2 Large Aperture for Low Ambient Light The F1.2 maximum aperture allows more light to enter the sensor. It helps maintain usable shutter speed in dim indoor, evening and low-ambient-light environments, and creates subject-background separation. Stopping down to F16 enables deeper depth of field when required.

2. 9-Blade Diaphragm with Click Aperture Ring Nine aperture blades form rounded out-of-focus highlights. The click aperture ring delivers distinct tactile stops, helping photographers confirm aperture values without taking eyes off the viewfinder during manual exposure setup.

3. 44° Moderate Viewing Angle for Portrait Creation At 35mm on APS-C, the 44° angle balances subject framing and background inclusion. It avoids overly compressed or heavily distorted perspective, fitting close portraits and lifestyle shots that retain part of the surrounding environment.

4. Compact All-metal Structure Solid metal barrel provides reliable mechanical performance. At roughly 200g, it brings moderate load for handheld shooting. The compact body is easy to carry and store inside camera bags for outdoor and on-location portrait sessions.

5. Multi-mount Compatibility & Manual Control Compatible with seven popular mirrorless mounts. Manual focus and manual aperture give users direct control over focus plane and exposure. Without electronic contacts, it works on any compatible camera that supports manual exposure mode.

Recommended Use Cases

1. Indoor & Lifestyle Portrait Shooting Suitable for indoor portraits, casual lifestyle shots and half-body portraits. The moderate viewing angle can retain subtle environmental context while isolating the subject.

2. Dusk & Low-light Portrait Shooting Works for portrait sessions at dusk, inside rooms and in spaces with limited ambient light. The F1.2 aperture helps maintain proper exposure under dim lighting conditions.

3. Casual Outdoor Portrait & On-location Shooting Fit for outdoor portrait sessions in parks and quiet scenic spots. It captures people with mild background context without excessive wide-angle distortion.

4. Simple Scene & Event Casual Recording Suitable for casual event documentation and family portrait capture. The 0.4m minimum focus distance supports framing standard portrait subject distances.

5. Selective-focus Still Life & Close Scene Shooting Can be used for tabletop scenes and simple object shots when selective focus is needed, with proper subject distance from background.

Operational Guidelines

1. Fully Manual Operation Autofocus and electronic aperture control are unavailable. Adjust focus and aperture manually via lens rings. Manual (M) or Aperture Priority (Av/A) mode on camera body is recommended.

2. F1.2 Aperture Usage Note At F1.2 maximum aperture, the depth of field is very shallow. Precise manual focus adjustment is required to keep the intended subject area sharp.

3. Stability Reminder This lens does not include built-in optical stabilization. Use a tripod when shutter speed is slower than 1/30s to reduce motion blur.

4. Exposure Setting There are no electronic contacts. Most camera bodies cannot read lens metadata. Check histogram and adjust exposure compensation before final capture.

5. Filter Installation It features a 46mm front filter thread. UV, CPL and ND filters of 46mm diameter can be mounted directly onto the lens front.

6. Crop Factor Reminder This lens is designed for APS-C cameras. If fitted on full-frame bodies, vignetting will appear across the frame. Use on APS-C cameras to achieve the rated 44° field of view.

7. Lens Maintenance Use air blower, microfiber cloth and dedicated lens cleaning liquid for cleaning. Do not touch the front lens surface with fingers to avoid oil stains and coating damage.
