Specification of 50mm F1.8 Full Frame Manual Prime Lens, Interchangeable Heart Star Shape Aperture, Creative Bokeh Effect Portrait Night Scene Vlog Photography Lens for E/Z/RF/M43/FX Mount
This 50mm F1.8 full-frame manual prime lens adopts an interchangeable aperture sheet design. By replacing the aperture inserts, point light sources in your background can form heart, star and other patterned bokeh effects in-camera, without post-processing. Designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras, it can also be used on APS-C and M43 cameras with crop factor applied. The 50mm standard focal length offers perspective close to human vision. The lens features an all-metal barrel, with net weight around 311g. It supports multiple mainstream mirrorless mounts: E, Z, FX, M43, EOS-M, RF and L. Focus and aperture are fully manually adjusted, with no electronic contacts between lens and camera body. It suits portrait, night scene, still life, video and daily documentary shooting for users who prefer manual operation and creative bokeh effects.

Core Functional Advantages
1. Interchangeable Aperture Sheets for Patterned Bokeh This lens uses replaceable aperture inserts rather than conventional multi-blade diaphragms. Switching inserts changes the shape of out-of-focus highlights. When shooting scenes with discrete point light sources such as city night lights or festival lamps, blurred background lights will show corresponding geometric shapes. You can install the standard sheet for normal shooting, or swap creative inserts for shaped bokeh. This optical effect only works under suitable shooting conditions.
2. F1.8 Maximum Aperture for Low-light Shooting F1.8 maximum aperture allows more light to enter the camera, helpful for shooting in dim environments. It creates separated foreground and background, and produces natural background blur. It is fit for portrait and still-life shooting requiring subject-background separation.
3. 50mm Standard Focal Length with Natural Perspective 50mm is a standard focal length, delivering perspective similar to human eyes with low distortion. It can be used for portraiture, street shooting, still life and video recording. One lens supports both daily shooting and creative bokeh shooting.
4. All-metal Barrel, Lightweight & Multi-mount Compatibility The metal lens barrel provides stable mechanical structure. Weighing approximately 311g, it is suitable for handheld shooting over long periods. It supports seven common mirrorless mounts, compatible with different camera systems listed above.
5. Manual Focus Ring for Adjustable Focus Plane The focus ring is manually operated, allowing users to set focus position precisely. It works well for still life and selective-focus shooting. Autofocus function is not available.
Recommended Use Cases
1. Creative Portrait Photography Suitable for night portraits and couple shots. When background has separate point light sources, heart or star shaped bokeh can be obtained to enrich the picture.
2. Urban Night & Festival Lighting Shooting Suitable for city night views, night markets and holiday decorative lights. Separated point lights can form patterned bokeh under proper shooting settings.
3. Still Life & Product Photography Suitable for shooting flowers, desserts, jewelry and handcrafts. Shaped bokeh can be added to the background to create a special visual style.
4. Short Video & Vlog Creation Suitable for lifestyle clips and product unboxing videos. The shaped bokeh can bring a different visual style to footage with shallow depth of field.
5. Street & Daily Documentary Shooting When fitted with the standard aperture sheet, it can be used as a standard manual prime lens for street snapshots and daily recording.
Operational Guidelines
1. Manual Operation This lens has no autofocus or electronic aperture control. Adjust focus and aperture manually via lens rings. Manual (M) or Aperture Priority (Av/A) mode on the camera body is recommended.
2. Conditions for Patterned Bokeh Patterned bokeh is only visible when the background contains independent point lights and there is enough distance between subject and background. For clearer shape definition, set aperture between F2.8-F5.6. The bokeh shape will become indistinct under soft uniform lighting or close-range shooting. This is normal optical characteristic, not a lens defect.
3. Aperture Insert Handling Handle aperture inserts gently. Avoid bending or scratching during replacement. Store unused inserts in the protective case to prevent damage or loss.
4. Stability Reminder This lens has no built-in optical stabilization. Use a tripod when shutter speed is slower than 1/30s to avoid motion blur.
5. Exposure Setting Without electronic contacts, most cameras cannot read lens data. Check the histogram and adjust exposure compensation before formal shooting.
6. Crop Factor Note When used on APS-C or M43 cameras, the effective focal length increases and viewing angle narrows. Take crop factor into consideration during composition.
7. Lens Maintenance Use air blower, microfiber cloth and professional lens cleaning liquid for cleaning. Do not touch the front lens surface directly by fingers to avoid oil stains and coating damage.
