Core Functional Advantages
1. Classic 58° Humanistic Perspective 25mm focal length on APS-C creates a natural humanistic viewing angle. It can frame both subject and surrounding environment simultaneously, which fits the shooting habit of street and documentary photography. It keeps proper distance from the subject for natural, candid shots.
2. F1.8–F16 Click Aperture with 7-Blade Diaphragm The F1.8 wide maximum aperture increases light intake under dim indoor or twilight conditions. The click aperture ring provides clear tactile feedback at each aperture stop for repeatable manual exposure adjustment. It can be stopped down to F16 for deep depth of field when needed.
3. Compact & Lightweight All-Metal Build The all-metal barrel ensures solid mechanical performance. At only around 186g, it adds little burden for long-time handheld shooting and outdoor travel. Its small dimension (60mm ×30mm) makes it easy to carry in camera bags.
4. 7 Elements in 5 Groups Optical Design This optical layout helps reduce chromatic aberration and vignetting within normal shooting range. The 0.25m minimum focus distance supports close focusing for small objects and environmental close-up shots.
5. Multi-mount Compatibility & Full Manual Operation It works with 7 popular mirrorless camera mounts. Manual focus and manual aperture ring give users direct control over framing and focus plane. No electronic dependency, so it can work with any compatible camera body with manual exposure mode.
Recommended Use Cases
1. Street & Humanistic Documentary Photography Suitable for street snapshot, daily life and candid human documentary shooting. The moderate wide angle records people together with their living surroundings naturally.
2. Travel & Outdoor Casual Shooting Great for travel records, city sightseeing and outdoor walk-around photography. Its light weight makes it convenient for all-day carrying during trips.
3. Environmental & Travel Portraiture Fits environmental portrait shooting. It can capture people together with background scenes such as old streets, buildings and natural scenery, telling richer stories.
4. Indoor & Low-light Daily Shooting Works for indoor home scenes, cafes and twilight shooting. F1.8 aperture helps maintain proper shutter speed in relatively dim indoor environments.
5. Small Object & Tabletop Shooting The 0.25m minimum focusing distance supports close shots of small items, tabletop scenes and indoor still life without strong perspective distortion.
Operational Guidelines
1. Fully Manual Operation Autofocus and electronic aperture control are not available. Adjust focus and aperture manually via lens rings. Manual (M) or Aperture Priority (Av/A) mode on camera body is recommended.
2. Click Aperture Operation The click aperture ring has physical stops at each f-stop. Rotate gently to adjust aperture value. The audible/tactile click helps users confirm aperture setting without looking away from the viewfinder.
3. Stability Reminder This lens does not have built-in optical stabilization. Use a tripod when shutter speed is slower than 1/30s to avoid motion blur.
4. Exposure Setting No electronic contacts. Most camera bodies cannot read lens information. Check histogram and adjust exposure compensation before formal shooting.
5. Filter Installation It has a 43mm front filter thread. UV, CPL and ND filters with 43mm diameter can be mounted directly on the lens front.
6. Crop Factor Reminder This lens is designed for APS-C. If mounted on full-frame cameras, vignetting will appear across the frame. Use it on APS-C cameras for the designed 58° field of view.
7. Lens Maintenance Use air blower, microfiber cloth and dedicated lens cleaning liquid for cleaning. Do not touch the front lens surface with fingers to avoid oil stains and coating damage.
