Our Custom Manufacturing Capabilities
Josight Optics brings three specialized capabilities: precision cold processing of optical glass, advanced multi-layer coating, and automated lens assembly. From a single custom element to a complete optical module, every stage is owned and controlled in-house — ensuring IP protection, consistent quality.
Cold Processing
Grinding, polishing, centering, and edging. Surface accuracy down to 0.3 fringes, appearance to MIL 20-10. Rmin=3mm, including high-curvature and hemispherical forms.
Optical Coating
10 vacuum coating systems (3 OTFC-1300 + others). AR, IR, hydrophobic, and metal films from 380nm to 1100nm. Reflectance as low as Ravg≤0.1%.
Lens Assembly
Automated assembly with vision-aligned positioning, UV curing, and eccentricity analysis. SFR testing and image quality evaluation for every build.
R&D & DFM
30+ years of optical design and manufacturing engineering. Full DFM review, prototyping, pilot run, and mass production — from your drawing to shipped optics.
WHY CHOOSE JOSIGHT FOR CUSTOM OPTICS MANUFACTURING.
Customizing with Josight means you set the spec and we build to it — geometry, material, coating, and mechanical interface are yours to define. We handle tooling, prototyping, and mass production, all under one group.
In-House Tooling
Our own tooling center builds sampling fixtures in days, not weeks — and keeps refining them through production, so your launch never waits on a third party.
Material & Metrology Access
40km from CDGM (Chengdu Guangming Photoelectric), a global leader with 240+ optical glass grades; 3km from Sichuan Provincial Optical Element Testing Center — both accessible to us.
Zero Handoffs
Your optics never leave our group — cold processing, coating, and assembly move floor to floor, not supplier to supplier. No re-packing, re-inspection, or inter-vendor freight.
Cost Engineering
We engineer cost at the design stage — relaxing tolerances that don't affect performance, substituting equivalent glass grades, and choosing the highest-yield process route.
